Trick-or-Treat

Bumblee Emily and Spiderman Ethan

It was the perfect fall day - glorious sunshine followed by a cool, crisp evening. The perfect time for monsters, princesses, ninjas, and pirates to haunt the streets. Our superhero, Spiderman, dashed from house to house saving candy as he went, while our bumblebee buzzed around enjoying the sweets. As we circled the neighborhood full of trick-or-treaters, we ran into friends, met newcomers, collected candy (of course!) and enjoyed our walk. But both of our trick-or-treaters (especially Emily) were happy to return home, check out their stash and pass candy out to all the other characters out that night. Ethan was absolutely elated when someone came to our door and rewarded them with handfuls of candy. But he was sorely disappointed as it got closer to 8:00 pm, the witching hour, and fewer trick-or-treaters came to receive goodies. Ethan and Emily gobbled down some candy before bed, both knowing when they woke up in the morning, it would be the day of their schools' Halloween parties.

Waiting for trick-or-treaters
