Dr. Ethan

This week Ethan's class studied Community Helpers, accompanied by Wednesday's dress-up day. After much discussion, Ethan chose to be a doctor. I don't know why since we have at least 3 fire fighter outfits but once Ethan makes up his mind about something it is usually very hard to persuade him otherwise. So I had to figure out what he was going to wear. That morning he put on a nice dress shirt, dark blue slacks, and his favorite, a zip-on tie from Kim. We added a stethoscope and thermometer in his pocket and he was all set. I looked at him, my little man. It seems like he is growing beyond my control. He looked 40 not 4! And of course, I had to take a picture. So I got out the camera and Ethan's immediate reaction, like usual, was a big cheesy grin. But then I was remind how young he still is when he asked if he could have his picture taken with me too. I just hope he remembers me when he is all grown up and a successful doctor.
