No More Crib

Emily enjoying a good night's sleep in her new (old) bed.

Emily and Ethan laughing in the bed.

I have to add an additional note: Last night, after having slept in her 'new' bed just one night, I heard Emily get up out of her bed but then didn't hear another sound, so I assumed she had simply gotten back into bed and fell asleep. When I finally went upstairs to bed, I peeked in Emily's room, but to my surprise, she wasn't there! I knew she had to be asleep somewhere as I hadn't heard any noise upstairs in the last hour or so. I immediately thought she was most likely in Ethan's room asleep with him, so I quietly opened his bedroom door, expecting to find my two kids cuddling. Again, a big surprise, when I just saw Ethan alone in his bed sound asleep. My next thought was the daybed in Jon's office. But again, Emily wasn't there. Where could she be? I knew she had to be upstairs somewhere as I didn't see or hear her come down the stairs, but where? I started to get a little panicked and returned to her room to further investigate. I looked all over the floors, closet, everywhere, but no Emily. I went to look in the bathroom and then Ethan's room again. I was stumped. She HAD to be here somewhere! I finally pushed open the door to our bedroom and what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a sweet Emily holding her puppy so dear. There she was sprawled out in the middle of our bed.
