The Big Day

The big day finally arrived. After thinking and talking about it for months, the countdown ended and Ethan had his first day of kindergarten today. Unfortunately, due to the staggered start and shortened day, I didn't get to take or pick him up, but when I finally saw my kindergartener this afternoon, he was all smiles. Of course, the best part of the day was recess and the best part of that was playing tether ball and beating some of the other kids. But other than winning some games, Ethan acted like kindergarten was no big deal, and I am not really all that surprised because he has always been so easy to adjust. I just hope he continues to take everything in stride. It is going to be a busy year for all of us. I know he will do great and I couldn't be prouder.
