Wonderland

This past week I had my last day off before being back in school full time, and we celebrated the end of summer by going to Dutch Wonderland. And what a wonderland it is! The kids had a wonderful time as did I. Kim and Maea joined us so it was even more wonderful. Emily was content on the easier rides. The only things she really wanted to do were to go on the merry-go-round, the sky ride and the train. Simple enough. Ethan and Maea wanted to go on everything! They were just so excited that they could! By far, their favorite had to be the roller coaster - yes, there is even a roller coaster for little kids. But it isn't a wimpy coaster at all! I think they rode it at least five times. When I went with them, I was shocked at how brave they were. Both of them had their hands up in the air, giggling and screaming the whole time. It was wonderful to watch them as I gripped the bar trying to hold on. Then next time they convinced me to also put my hands up and I too giggled even more. It was a fun, exhausting, wonderful day, and everyone fell asleep on the car ride home. Can't be more wonderful than that!
