I am so tired of potty talk! It is literally all I have done today in an effort to potty train Emily. i realize she is not even two yet but she tells me every single time she goes in her diaper and will get her changing pad and a clean diaper when she wants to be changed! At this age, Ethan was already going on the potty too so I guess my kids just hate having dirty bottoms ;) So today, in an effort to make the process short and sweet, I am attempting to do the one-day potty party. The basic premise is simple: the kid teaches a doll or stuffed animal how to go potty and in turn learns to do it by him/herself. As a teacher, I know that the best way to learn is to teach someone else, so I thought, I'll give it a shot. Which means today we have only read books about the potty, sat on the potty a zillion times, had Emily's dolly go on the potty, watched a DVD about Elmo going to the potty. UGGHHH! I don't know if I can't take it anymore! But I will say, we have had some success. Despite two big accidents, Emily has peed several times on the potty and pooped too - yeah! Luckily, she is down for a nap right now so I don't have to be in potty mode. Ahhhhh. I never thought my life would revolve around potty talk!

Emily showing off her big girl underwear!!
I have to laugh because Emily just woke up from her nap and the first thing I heard her say through the monitor was "potty"!!
