Royal wedding
My little girl wants nothing more than to be a princess. Consequently she was thrilled by today's wedding celebration in London. Apparently she watched much of the festivities with Gram and knew the names and events of the day in great detail. I definitely see the appeal to a four-year-old girl, even to a thirty-six-year-old woman. Here was a modern-day fairytale in the making - a beautiful girl marrying a handsome prince so they can live happily ever after. This is exactly what I want for my daughter - a "happily ever after". Forget about the horse-drawn carriage, diamond tiara, and exquisite palace, I want her to believe in the beauty of love and happiness. Before long, so much of life will disappoint her, but right now, with all her precious innocence, she can indulge in the enchanted fairy tale of life.
