Please take the time
To read our December rhyme.
Ethan started playing basketball
providing Saturday entertainment for us all.
Emily enjoyed holidays parties at school,
bringing home lots of gifts full of yule.
Struggling with runny noses and colds,
lots of cough medicine being bought and sold.
We enjoyed our first big snow storm.
Sledding then hot cocoa to keep us warm.
They say more snow is on the way,
so it looks like this white Christmas is going to stay.
Online shopping making it easier this year
to find the perfect gift for those far and near.
Emily wants an angel for Christmas,
Ethan, a race car from Hess.
We attended Polar Express story time.
Do YOU still hear the sleigh bell chime?
Ethan already figured out Santa’s scheme.
Mom and Dad are really the Christmas team.
But we all still want the magic to believe,
knowing it is better to give than receive.
Leaving work with a bag full of essays,
not an ideal way to spend the holidays.
School is out for 2009.
2010 is next in line.
Looking forward to some family fun
and when the holiday chaos is done.
