Tooth fairy
Ethan's front right tooth has been lose for months now. Finally yesterday it was starting to get a little nasty so I pulled it out. His big tooth is actually growing in far behind the baby one so instead of it falling out, the larger tooth was kind of pushing the smaller one forward. This was causing it to really hurt Ethan as it seemed to be ripping his gums. So after more complaining from E, we decided to pull it out. Initially I tried to simply pull it out with my fingers but couldn't get a good grip on this little tooth. Which left the floss option. Yep, I tied a piece of floss around the tooth and yanked. Out it came. After some blood and worry, Ethan is now sporting a whole in his smile. He was very excited about this step in his growing up and carefully placed the little tooth in a small plastic container for safe keeping. And of course, he was very excited for the tooth fairy to visit. When I went to bed, I completely forgot about the tooth fairy and was awoken at 1 am by a crying Ethan, upset that the tooth fairy hadn't come. Of course, no one wants to be startled awake at 1 in the morning, but after our Santa scare last month, all I could think was "He believes!" With a little comforting, Ethan was back to sleep in no time and the tooth fairy did pay him a little visit. A neatly folded dollar bill was placed in the small container holding his little tooth.
