This is just a little bit of my day . . . . . sigh
Ethan wakes up coughing (again!) very very early in the morning.
There is snow and ice outside and a 2-hour delay.
Emily wakes up with her eyes covered in nasty goo.
Knowing it is going to be quite a day, I eat M&Ms after breakfast.
Obviously the kids need to go to the doctor.
Emily won't go on the potty.
Ethan now has a double ear infection. He was diagnosed with just one ear infection on Monday.
Emily has an eye infection and one of her ears is also infected.
I need to eat more M&Ms.
Medication for both kids costs over $100.
Emily poops in her pants.
Where are the M&Ms?
Emily face plants out of the car onto the street. Huge bump on her head, scratched-up nose, bloody lip.
Emily won't eat lunch and begs to take a nap.
Ethan coughs and coughs and coughs.
I finally put the kids down and eat more M&Ms.
Ethan wakes up from his nap coughing again.
Emily wakes up crying in pain.
We sit on the couch and watch TV.
I eat M&Ms.
Jon is shocked by Emily's face when he gets home.
I make dinner in relative peace.
Ethan throws up all over the dinner table.
I eat more M&Ms.
I call the doctor but she is totally unsympathetic.
The kids take a shower and get ready for bed.
I eat more M&Ms.
Emily cries and cries when I put her down.
Ethan goes to sleep with a "puke bucket" next to his bed.
I eat more M&Ms.
I sit in front of the TV and eat more M&Ms.
Finally, the day is over.
I need more M&Ms.
