One Down, Three to Go

We have all survived the first marking period. (Around here they call them marking periods instead of quarters or semesters.) It's been a tough one, which should help explain my lack of writing, but it's over, and that means we only have three more marking periods left. I am already counting down which probably indicates it is going to feel like a long school year. I don't know why this year seems so much more difficult. Maybe it is the challenges that have been thrown at us. Maybe it is because I thought this year would actually be easier. Maybe everything and everyone are just too demanding. Maybe life is just hard. It's tough to really say, but I keep telling myself there are only three marking periods left in hopes that things will get and seem easier. In some respects they already are. We all know what to expect now. We know what we are in for. We know we can do anything for a limited amount of time. Three more to go.
