Thankful Four

Last week, I asked my students to bring out their inner kindergarteners to make hand turkeys in honor of Thanksgiving. They colored, cut and thought. In each of the four fingers (the thumb was the turkey's head), they were to write four things they were thankful for. Most of them included family, friends, food and shelter, but here are a few of my favorite Thankful Four responses:
pretzels
education
music
love
sunshine
myself
life
doctors
laughter
Mrs. Rose (yes, one of my students actually put that!)

And here are my Thankful Four:
my children's laughter
my supportive friends
my family's love
my students' smiles
