October Already!?!?

September has come and gone in a whirlwind. Getting back into school mode has been a big transition for us all, and despite feeling a bit overwhelmed, we are doing well. I am beginning to feel like I can actually handle it all.
Here are some highlights from the last month:
Ethan had lots of firsts at school - first time buying lunch, first prize, first light on, first tether-ball win, first time staying after school - I could go on and on and on.
Emily started at the Carlisle Community Nursery School and loves every minute with her best bud, Ella, in her class.
I ran the Harrisburg Half Marathon with two friends finishing in less than two hours.
One of my students wrote that she wanted to be on the 'on-a-roll' instead of honor roll, which made me laugh at her complete naivety.
The weather is turning cooler and the leaves are turning colorful.
Ethan is playing soccer again with all his friends from last season.
We were lucky enough to have some wonderful friends visit.
Jon has been fantasizing about football again.
We spent this wonderful weekend picking pumpkins, feeding farm animals, figuring out the corn maze, hiking in the mountains, and enjoying some sunshine.
I just can't believe it is October already. Time sure flies when you are having fun!
