The Joys of Teaching

I get so busy at work that I often forget how much I love teaching. Here are a few reasons why:
Today a parent thanked me for making a difference in her child's life.
I laugh everyday.
Kids say the most random things.
Sitting in my room while my students are at lunch is sweet silence.
Coloring is fun at any age.
The class clown announced that he loves my class.
I now appreciate my parents and being a parent so much more.
Simply saying "hi" can brighten someone's day.
Fridays are now my favorite day of the week (but Mondays suck).
My classroom has become my second home.
I get to see kids grow in every way.
