Red High Heels

When I went back to work, I knew I would be standing much of the day so I told myself that I was worth actually spending decent money on shoes. In hopes of finding a great pair of dress shoes, I searched all our local stores, which unfortunately don't have anything of good quality. I, however, came across a beautiful pair of red heels at Bon-Ton of all places. When I saw them I thought they were nice, but then I tried them on. They are truly my most comfortable pair of shoes. I plan my outfits around them. Just this past week, I wore them with a pair of brown slacks. In that day alone, four people commented on my shoes. One lady even stopped me as I was driving away in my car to tell me how much she liked them and to ask where I got them. I guess red high heels are a bit more noticeable than your traditional black or brown, and I appreciate the compliments. But for me, it is more about how I feel. I put on those shoes and feel good about myself - like I might have some style, like I am worth them. Isn't it funny that as much as I would prefer to simply wear flip-flops everyday, that a pair of high heels can make me feel this way? I don't think of myself as vain or fashionable but I do love my red high heels.
