Busy May

Well, a whole month has past since I have written and lots has happened.
Let's see . . .
Ethan got to ride on a school bus by himself for the first time.
We hosted couples' night at our house and had a great night with great friends, which led to T.P. craziness.
Ethan was a sheep in his preschool play (as in "Little Bo Peep lost her sheep") and is now a preschool graduate.
Emily also finished her last day of preschool.
We planted flowers and are wearing shorts again.
Ethan got a double ear infection.
Emily has freckles sprinkled on the bridge of her nose.
I got a personalized visor and jeweled flip-flops for Mother's Day.
Ethan dug dinosaur bones at a community center event.
We bought the cabin next to Jon's parent's.
Ethan scored two goals in a row in his soccer game.
Jon shaved Ethan's hair into a mohawk.
Ethan and Jon went golfing and fishing.
I biked up a mountain.
Emily has permanent scratches and bruises on her legs from all her adventures.
I interviewed several times and finally accepted a job teaching 7th-grade English next year.
We got our first farm-fresh vegetable delivery.
Emily tells me she can't wait for summer because Mommy will be home again.
I quit my job at the YMCA.
Jon planted our garden, built a fence and a compost bin.
Emily now sings for at least an hour in her crib before she actually falls asleep.
We had a great time up at the cabin over the Memorial Day weekend.
I got a student of mine who has never done a presentation in front of class (due to his nervousness) to give his speech.
Friends of ours had babies.
We went to the elementary school fair and walked downtown for sushi.
Ethan started counting down the days to his 5th birthday.
Now, we are all just waiting for June which will be just as full and just as fun.
